An unofficial design concept for the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics medal inspired by the Dolomites mountainous terrain in northern Italy.🥇
As the closing ceremony marks the end of the 2022 Beijing games, athletes will begin to set their sights on the 2026 Winter Olympics being hosted in 2 Italian cities. This medal concept consists of a dented texture, representing the Olympian’s constant training and hard work. Each gold, silver and bronze medal is shaped by a press and CNC machine, followed by hundreds of manual blows from a skilled artisan to achieve the texture. The medal is completed with a ribbon made from ocean-bound plastic.⛸
