A soft and approachable modern stool that showcases different lacquering techniques.🪵
One of our favourite finds from Milan Design Week 2022 was the Bold Stool. The project showcases traditional craftsmanship and an ancient natural material lacquering technique discovered whilst on a residential trip. The black version is made from paulownia wood and has been burnt with an open flame before lacquering to emphasise the natural grain texture. The gloss red and the moss green versions have been lacquered to hide any parting lines. They are available in 45cm and 35cm tall versions as well as in Ash.🪑
