“Over 30 million people across Europe and North America self-administer injections at home, yet as many as 1-in-2 patients fail to adhere to their medication schedule. Using an injector pen every 2-3 weeks is typical for chronic diseases such as COPD, rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn’s. However, this is challenging to manage versus taking a daily tablet. There is a lack of routine or natural rhythm to taking medication in this way. The final design is a pioneering example of digital therapeutics and connected healthcare, where data provides the all-important bridge between patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacies.” 🏥
