An electric violin with unique 3D printed skeletal form.🎻

With the help of mechanical and structural algorithms, this contemporary violin ditches the conventional wooden acoustic frame for a lightweight structure. Using additive manufacturing, the structure is still able to perform to the same strength requirements but at the same time, reduces the amount of material being used to the minimum amount required. Similar to an electric guitar in its technology, the violin has an outport jack and also includes an internal battery for a cable free performance. The main structure is 3D printed from nylon to house the carbon fibre body and birch fingerboard.🎼
