Richard Hutten is a Rotterdam-based Dutch designer known for his innovative and playful conceptual designs in furniture and interior design. He graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven in 1991 and started his own design studio the same year. Hutten is one of the founders of the famous Dutch Design movement called “Droog Design” and has established himself as a leading international figure in his field. He is also the art director of Gispen, the second-largest and most famous furniture brand in Holland.

His work is held in the permanent collections of over 40 museums worldwide, and he has won numerous international awards for his designs. Hutten’s impressive list of clients includes leaders in various industries and fields. His designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also optimistic and fun, aiming to contribute to the importance of play as culture. Hutten’s work has been extensively published in world-renowned magazines such as Domus, Abitare, and The International Herald Tribune, among others.
