A handmade porcelain table lamp designed to blend into the home through material and form. 🏠
The exterior of the lamp consists of three ceramic pieces made with a process called slip casting. This process is widely used to form shapes that can’t be easily formed by other techniques. As the mould is rotated, the clay coats the mould wall, and water is absorbed into the plaster, thereby drying the clay closest to the wall. After some time, the mould is emptied of the excess material. Utilising this process allows for a form which hides internal components and provides a seamless light interaction. 💡
