A space-saving kitchen appliance concept designed for single occupant residencies.🚰
Electrolux have set a brief to Umeå’s Advance Product Design Masters program to imagine the future needs of the home; with a quick 4-week turnaround, this is one group’s response. This concept was designed for single occupants who are living in compact accommodation. It utilises the vertical space in the kitchen and is made up of modules that are mounted onto a backplate. Each backplate module has access to both water and electricity, meaning the user can customise the layout to suit them, this also completely eliminates the need for tools during install. Each appliance is connected to one another through an app, meaning the user can control the modules remotely or create personalised routines to for example sync a toaster and a kettle at the same time.☕️
