Isom Headphones

A study in visual and physical lightness, the ISOM headphones have been conceptualised for passengers on long-haul flights. ✈️

Deliberately retro-futuristic, Isom addresses discomfort during sleep for aircraft passengers. Observing passengers who rely on personal entertainment over onboard entertainment systems during long haul flying, Isom has been designed to be ultra-light and ultra-slimline in order to have minimal negative effect upon passenger comfort during periods of dozing.

The structural hoop is machined from aerospace-grade aluminium and anodised. The inner fabric membrane is 3D-knitted from a blend of wool and elasticated synthetic threads so as to stretch appropriately in order to form the soft, organic shapes of the ear pads. User interfaces are kept to a minimum, but those preserved are scaled up for ease of use while maintaining a minimalistic presence on unit itself. Prominent, however is the chunky, and tactile volume disc which enables swift volume adjustments as well as providing a user interface during digital menu interactions. 🎧
